FAQ for Little Zookeepers.

1. Do you ship internationally?

  • We endeavor to ship to all international destinations via the least expensive means possible.

  • Fixed shipping costs for Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are included in the shopping cart in the "-Choose a shipping method-" dropdown menu on the Check-Out page.

  • We now ship from the UK to EU destinations. Click here for details.

2. Will THE ZOO work for Webkinz?
Yes, customers say that THE ZOO works really well for their Webkinz collection as you can see from the picture below of Beth and Webkinz collection!

3. What tools do I need to assemble THE ZOO?
Customers often tell us that THE ZOO is very easy to assemble by following the full color illustrated instructions.  You will require an electric drill for attaching THE ZOO to the wall.  We also include a driver to use in your drill to tighten the special screws that hold THE ZOO together at the corners.  This driver will also fit into a universal type screwdriver in which you can change the bit, if you prefer to do this part by hand.  A 5mm Allen key will also fit into the screw head although we do not include this with the fitting kit.

4. What are the bars made out of?
The bars consist of bungee cord covered with a food-grade custom extruded plastic tube. The bungee cord is secured by round screw eyes at the top, middle and bottom. The tube is there for safety and cosmetic reasons.  The flexible bars prevent kids from getting their heads stuck or wrapped up in the elastic cord.

5. Do you paint THE ZOOs?
THE ZOO comes unfinished but finely sanded. Most people leave it just as it is. However it can be a fun project for the kids to decorate using acrylic paints etc. See the pictures sent in by customers in the zookeepers gallery for some great ideas.

6. Can I order a custom header instead of "THE ZOO".
We currently don't offer custom names but you can order a blank header at no extra charge. To do this send a separate email request when you place your order which we will acknowledge!

7. Do You ship to APO and FPO addresses?
Yes, but sometimes this may include some extra shipping charges.  Please email us with your APO or FPO address before your order and we will let you know what the cost will be.

8. Do You make custom sized ZOOs?
We have made THE ZOO smaller or trimmed the width by an inch or so to fit into a designated space. We do not make them taller since that  would require special boxes and the extra cost of oversized shipping. 

We never charge less for smaller ZOOs since customizing requires extra labor.  Your modification may also incur extra charges depending on your request.  If you are in a space jam or have some other problem we are always pleased to do our best to help.

9. Do You offer quantity discounts?
We do not offer quantity discounts for 2 or 3 ZOOs because Each ZOO has to be shipped separately and there are no production savings.  However, we have always offered some kind of a rebate for sending us a picture of your kids with THE ZOO.  If you buy two ZOOs and send us two pictures
we will be glad to double you rebate.

 

We receive lots of emails from customers who say that THE ZOO holds far more animals than they thought it would. So if you think you need two because of the number of animals you have, you have nothing to lose by ordering just one to start with.
